Most of my jobs over the last 20 or so years have included some element of training others in media skills. I have coached and mentored colleagues and clients on an individual basis and also run training sessions for larger groups.
My students have included young people on work experience placements; RSPB volunteers of all ages; conservation workers more used to surveying birds and writing scientific reports than talking to the media; managers who had to be prised away from their budget sheets and a variety of people from the beer and pub industry.
